The Boathouse, Norfolk Broads Wedding – Nikki & John – Norfolk Wedding Videographer

\\ The Boathouse, Norfolk Broads Wedding – Nikki & John – Norfolk Wedding Videographer //

This wasn’t a typical wedding for us. First of all, John is one of my best friends and I’ve known him since school, and his wonderful wife Nikki has been a good friend ever since the start of their relationship. Secondly, Gary, the ‘Thompson’ half of Thompson Granger Films, was one of the best men for the wedding and so wasn’t on his usual camera duties. Having edited countless ‘Best Man’ speeches for our other couples, he finally got a chance to be in front of the camera rather than behind it, and managed to put into practice everything he’s learnt from editing all those other speeches, delivering a hilarious and heartfelt speech that had the guests crying with laughter (Disclaimer: Gary may have paid me to write this!)

The wedding was truly beautiful. A ceremony in the village church followed by a boat trip on the Norfolk Broads to the reception, which was set at The Boathouse. The scenery was breathtaking and the water was so still it was like glass. Nikki’s incredible taste showed through in the gorgeous styling of the wedding and her beautiful dress, and John and the rest of the groomsmen were also looking sharp too.

It was another chance to work alongside the fantastic Mr. Rouse (of James Rouse Photography fame), and with Gary being stuck in front of the camera all day, I was lucky to have some help from another wedding videographer, Tom of Studeo Media, who helped to get some great shots from the groom preps and throughout the rest of the day. Although, they didn’t get shown in this trailer, the after-dinner live music entertainment was courtesy of singer songwriter, Ria Ritchie, and the beauty and make-up for the bridesmaids was by Ria Brackenbury from Beauty Works.
