After filming weddings for over 5 years, I still feel honoured when we’re asked to capture someone’s wedding day. But nothing can compare to being entrusted with filming your own brother’s wedding. Sarah and Kevin couldn’t have chosen a more perfect and beautiful place for their Byron Bay wedding. The wedding venue, Deux Belettes, is a romantic, French farmhouse-inspired “chateau” hidden away in Byron Bay’s hinterland on the east coast of Australia. Along with birdsong, golden light, and gorgeous autumnal colours, it was impossible not to get swept up by the romance of it all.
Sarah and Kevin grew up on opposite sides of the world. When they left to start their travels across Southeast Asia, they had no idea that they would meet the person with whom they’d share their last, first kiss. Nearly a year after first crossing paths, Kevin took the leap and swapped the Norfolk coast for the Gold Coast in Australia, to start his new life with Sarah.
